Journalyse is built with privacy first. Your entries stay local until you decide to sync.

Offline-first by design

All your routine entries are stored directly in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server unless you explicitly choose to sign in and sync.

What we collect

Your entries: Activity type, date, time, and notes you enter — stored locally in your browser
Anonymous analytics: We use Azure Application Insights to collect aggregate usage metrics such as page views, load times, and browser type. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve performance. No personal data, entry content, or user behaviour is tracked.
Minimal cookies: Application Insights sets first-party session cookies for analytics only. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers
No account required: Use the app without signing up or sharing personal information

Your rights

Since your data lives in your browser:

You can clear it anytime via your browser settings
Your notes are never shared or sold
Analytics data is aggregated and cannot be linked back to you
Sync features are opt-in and encrypted
